Maxwell’s equations, together with the Lorentz force law, form the foundation of classical electromagnetism. The four Maxwell equations are Gauss’s law for electricity, Gauss’s law for magnetism, Faraday’s law of induction, and the Ampère–Maxwell circuital law.
