Your log is saved only in this browser (use Copy or CSV to share it with a doctor or partner). Typical guide for the first weeks: 8 to 12 feeds in 24 hours, and from day 5 at least 6 wet diapers a day. Babies differ, so call your doctor or midwife if your baby feeds poorly, has fewer wet diapers, seems very sleepy or you are worried.
Baby feeding log and breastfeeding timer
A simple one-hand tracker for the first months. Tap Left or Right when the baby starts feeding and tap again when they finish: the timer records the length and reminds you which side to offer next. Log bottles (ml or oz), pumping and wet and dirty diapers in one tap, and see today's totals, the time since the last feed and the average gap between feeds.
Why parents like it
- Which side next? It remembers which breast you used last.
- Left then right counts as one feed, so your feed count matches what the midwife asks.
- Works with a sleepy brain: big buttons, the screen can stay on, and entries can be added after the fact.
- Private: no account, no app, nothing uploaded. Copy or download the log when you need it.
Questions
How often should a newborn feed?
Usually 8 to 12 times in 24 hours in the first weeks, about every 2 to 3 hours, counted from the start of one feed to the start of the next. Feeding on demand is normal.
How many wet diapers should my baby have?
About 1 on day 1, 2 on day 2, 3 on day 3, 4 on day 4 and 6 or more a day from day 5. Fewer can mean the baby is not getting enough milk: ask your midwife or doctor.
