A free party invitation and RSVP maker

MES Party makes an online invitation for a birthday, dinner, BBQ, game night, baby shower, holiday party, watch party, meeting or anything else, with one short link (mes.fm/p/...) to send however you like: a group chat, a text to each person, WhatsApp, email or a QR code on a flyer. Guests open it in any browser and reply Going, Maybe or Can't go with their name. You see who is coming, how many people in total, and every note and answer, updated live.

What you can set

Plus-ones
How many people each guest may bring (0 to 10). Totals count everyone.
Guest limit and waitlist
When the event is full, new "Going" replies wait in line and move up by themselves, in order, when someone changes their reply.
Reply by
After that date the invitation still shows, but new replies are closed. You can also close replies by hand at any time.
Private place
Keep the address (and any online link) hidden until someone replies Going or Maybe.
Who sees the guest list
Everyone who has the link, only the numbers, or only you.
Questions and what to bring
Ask up to three questions (food allergies, a song request...). Only you see the answers. A "what to bring" list lets each guest pick an item so you don't end up with five bags of chips.
Updates
Post a message (a change of plan, parking, the weather) that every guest sees at the top of the invitation.

No accounts

Nobody signs up. When you create an invitation your browser gets a secret host key: keep the Host link (it is saved in this browser and you can copy it from Host tools) to manage the event from another phone or computer. Each guest's browser gets a random number, so a guest can change their reply later from the same device.

Privacy

The invitation, the replies and the "what to bring" picks are kept on our server until two months after the event, then deleted. Guest names are whatever people type. We never store your internet address, only a scrambled code used to limit spam per network. See the privacy policy.

Questions

Do guests need an app?
No. The link opens in any browser on any phone or computer.
Can I change the date after sending the link?
Yes. Edit the event and everyone sees the new details on the same link. Post an update too so people notice.
Can I add people who replied by text?
Yes: Add a guest in Host tools puts them on the list with their reply.
Can I see it as a spreadsheet?
Download the guest list as a CSV file (opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets) with names, replies, plus-ones, notes and answers.
