A calendar reminder is the most reliable one: your phone or computer alerts you even when the browser is closed. The calendar file includes the alarms ticked above (Google Calendar uses your own default reminder instead).

The full link holds everything (title, time, time zone, link, notes), so nothing is stored on a server. The short link (mes.fm/r/...) keeps the same details on mes.fm for a year after the event (two years for a weekly one); it is made only when you press Copy short link or Copy text. Everyone who opens either link sees the time in their own time zone.

How to get reminded
- Calendar (recommended). Add it to your calendar and your phone or computer alerts you at the times you ticked, even when the browser is closed. Weekly events stay at the host’s time across daylight saving changes.
- This browser. Remind me in this browser saves the event here and shows a notification with a sound. It only works while a tab of this page is open (a pinned tab is handy); if the tab was closed at the time, you get the alert when you next open it.
Questions
Why not just use YouTube’s “Notify me”?
YouTube’s live notifications are often late, grouped or never sent, depending on your notification settings and how many channels you follow. A calendar alert comes from your own device at the time you chose.
Can I get an email?
Not yet: an email reminder needs a server that stores your address and sends the message, and this page deliberately stores nothing. Most calendars can send you an email reminder themselves (in Google Calendar, edit the event and add an “Email” notification).
What is stored?
With the full link, nothing on mes.fm: the event is in the link itself. A short link stores the event’s title, time, time zone, link and notes on mes.fm (nothing about you) so the short address can find them; it is kept for a year after the event. The reminders you save with Remind me in this browser stay in this browser only.
