Search Engines
Type your search once and open it in Google (.com, .ca, .co.uk and more), Bing, DuckDuckGo, Brave, Yandex and 60+ other search engines, AI assistants and video sites, in tabs or tiled windows. Compare results, check censorship and bias, and add your own engines.
More options exact phrase, site:, exclude a site, Google tweaks
Exact phrase, site: and leave-out apply to the web search engines (they are ignored by video, social and shopping sites, which don't understand them). For a SEO check of your own site, put your domain in site: and leave the search box empty.
Add your own search engine
Go to any site's search, search for the word test, and copy the address of the results page. Paste it below and replace test with %s (or {q}). Example: https://example.com/search?q=%s

Search every search engine at once
Different search engines show different results: for the same words, Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Brave, Yandex and Mojeek can disagree on what comes first, what is missing, and what they refuse to show at all. This page lets you type your search once and open it in as many engines as you like with one click: web search, images, news and videos; AI answer engines; video sites such as YouTube, Rumble and Odysee; social platforms; and research sites. Nothing is sent to us. Your search goes only to the engines you open.
What people use it for
- Censorship and bias checks: search a sensitive topic in Google, Bing, Yandex, Brave, DuckDuckGo and Mojeek and see which engines bury, remove or promote which sources. The Censorship & bias check set ticks nine engines at once, and Video censorship check does the same for video sites.
- SEO and rank checks: see where a page ranks in each engine, check whether your site is indexed (put your domain in site: and leave the search box empty), compare country versions (Google .com, .ca, .co.uk, .com.au… tick as many as you like) and look at the time filters for fresh results.
- Research and fact-checking: run one question through general engines, Google Scholar, PubMed, arXiv, the Internet Archive and the Fact Check Explorer in one go.
- Finding anything: if one engine gives you rubbish, five more are already open.
Getting the fairest comparison
- Use a private / incognito window and be logged out of the engines: your history and account shape results far more than most people realise.
- Use the same language and the same location for every engine. A VPN set to another country shows what people there see; ticking Google .ca alone does not change your location.
- Compare the first page, not just the top result, and also look at what is missing. Tiled windows puts the engines side by side on your screen.
- Turn off any extensions that rewrite search results, and repeat the search on another day: results change.
Opening lots of tabs
Browsers allow a page to open several tabs from one click, but some pop-up blockers stop all but the first. If that happens the page shows the links that were blocked so you can click them, and you can allow pop-ups for mes.fm (the icon in the address bar) so Open all works in one go. Safari and some phones are the strictest. Same tab turns each engine into a normal link, which also works with middle-click or long-press to open in a new tab.
Your own engines
Add any site's search (a forum, a news site, a shop, your own SearXNG) with %s where the search words go. Your engines and sets are saved in this browser, and you can back them up to a file.
Everything runs in your browser; your searches are only remembered here if you leave Remember my searches on. Search mes.fm itself · More MES tools
